I am an AVEDA Graduate and Award Winning Stylist, trained in Winnipeg Canada.

My career in hair began when I decided to enter a competition called BORN TO STYLE.
In this competition, with over 30,000 applicants, I was narrowed down to one of FIVE finalists. The final competition required hair, makeup and wardrobe to be created by the individual for a model; once complete the model presented to walk in a fashion show in front of a panel of judges. The panel of judges included world renowned stylist & President of Aveda - Mr. John Civello.
After deliberation, I was announced 1st prize winner of BORN TO STYLE and was awarded a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to The Aveda Instutute.

This incredible opportunity allowed me to introduce another creative passion in my life.
I graduated with honours, and was the recipient of an academic achievement award. Unlocking a new creative outlet for me was very exciting as I was already established as a Makeup Artist and these two skills complimented each other perfectly.
I worked in a few wonderful salons that allowed me full creativity, and finding the things I loved most about the industry.

I ventured off after completing my apprenticeship and opened my salon “Amylee Artistry” where I would learn what it was to be an entrepreneur.

In 2021, I placed in the TOP 5 in a competition labelled “The Ultimate Stylist”. There were over 12,000 applicants in this competition, and it caught the attention of the local news outlet in Kelowna. The competition ran for 6 weeks and each day I looked forward to creating something new to capture peoples attention to vote.
